Polyaigos is the largest uninhabited island of the Aegean. It captivates you with its strange geological formations, its blue waters, and the many protected species of the animal chain. Polyaigos has been named after the numerous goats (Poly = many & aiges= goats from Ancient Greek) that exist on the island. The rocky islets of Kalogeros are the most impressive part of Polyaigos since they stand in the middle of the sea and open their gates leading you to hidden parts of the island.
Further down from Polyaigos there is a spot called Galazia Nera. There you must dive to see the bottom of the sea which is impressive and worth exploring as the area has many caves.
Pollonia is a small quiet traditional touristic resort with sandy beaches, sheltered bays, taverns by the sea and fishing boats anchored at the dock. White and blue houses and small churches complete the picturesque backdrop which ultimately offers romantic sunsets and uninterrupted views of the Aegean Sea.
